Virtual Virginia Outreach Program

VVA Outreach

The Virtual Virginia Outreach Program is designed to assist Virginia public school teachers and students of math, science, computer science, and economics and personal finance by providing access to SOL-aligned blended learning resources via the Virtual Virginia learning management system at no cost.

The Outreach resources can support instructional needs, including supplemental lessons, substitute and inclement weather plans, and SOL review practice. Teachers will have the flexibility to implement these resources to best fit their needs.  

In the 2018–2019 school year the Virtual Virginia Outreach Program will expand to include blended learning resources in the following content areas:

    • Computer Science Programming*
  • Economics and Personal Finance
  • Math
    • Algebra I
    • Algebra II
    • Geometry
    • Math Analysis/Pre-Calculus*

Support for Teachers

The following resources are available to Virginia public school teachers of math, science, computer science, and economics and personal finance:

  • SOL-aligned online or blended learning lessons for use with their students via the Virtual Virginia learning management system (LMS), including:
    • Lessons, interactives, and automated quizzes
    • Worksheets and answer keys
    • Online gradebook
  • LMS utilization training
  • LMS and HelpDesk support
  • Teacher facilitation support and best practices for blended learning
  • Professional learning network of content-area Virginia public educators
  • End-of-Course SOL exam review resources
  • Ability to customize the content

Available to students enrolled in the program:

  • SOL-aligned lessons in the Virtual Virginia LMS
  • LMS and HelpDesk support
  • Mobile-friendly course access
