Virtual Virginia

Technology Handbook

The VVA Technology Handbook (PDF) provides information on the minimum hardware and software requirements needed to successfully complete courses through Virtual Virginia. The handbook details general requirements for all VVA students, as well as additional technical requirements for specific courses. Virtual Virginia asks that local school division technical staff work with the VVA support staff to:

  • Verify that students’ workstations meet the minimum hardware and software requirements in the handbook and ensure adequate bandwidth;
  • Act as a resource for the installation of programs and problem‐solve any technical difficulties throughout the course;
  • Communicate with the Virtual Virginia Help Desk as needed.

Students working outside the local school setting must be aware of the need to access equipment that meets the minimum requirements as specified in the handbook.
